Women Only Amgen 5k Race (run or walk) and Cardi's Furniture 3k Walk

Free Kids' Races: 9:15 am (100-400 meter dashes on track, open to boys and girls ages 4-12)

Women's Wellness Fair from 8am - noon on the grounds of the Brown University Stadium

Certified, flat and fast 5k (3.1 miles) and 3k (1.8 miles) courses from the Brown University Stadium through the scenic and historic East Side of Providence, and finishing in Olympic style on the Brown University Track

Registration opens at 8am


500 Reebok Technical Shirts and 700 long sleeve cotton shirts. Selection on first come basis first served basis.

Team Competition

Only USATF-NE member teams are eligible for the Team Competition.
Open Team to consist of 5 or more women. If more than 5 on a team, top 5 aggregate gun times will count for scoring. Awards to top 5 teams. Masters teams (Age 40+) will count 3 deep, Veterans (50+) will count 3 deep. Individuals can score for multiple divisions (i.e. a fast 50 year old can score for her Veterans, Masters and Open team.
High school teams not eligible for team awards

Cash Prizes to Top Five Open Teams

   - 1st $600

   - 2nd $400

   - 3rd $300

   - 4th $200

   - 5th $100


Masters and Veterans Divisions: 1st = $400, 2nd = $200, 3rd = $100


Also, merchandise prizes for scoring members of the top 3 teams in the open division and the winning teams in the masters and veterans divisions.

Individual Awards

Prize Money to Top Five 5K Overall (Must be USATF-registered to receive prize money:

   - 1st $300

   - 2nd $200

   - 3rd $100

   - 4th $75

   - 5th $50

 

$50 Cash Prize to top USATF-Registered Athletes in the Following Age Groups:

    20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79 and 80+


Merchandise/gift certificates to first ten in Open division and first five in all age groups (including 19 and under)

All cash winners must be USATF registered

No double dipping with individual cash prizes.

One cash prize per runner only. No “double-dipping” in age groups for overall prize winners


All runners/walkers eligible for raffle prizes.


Professional Timing and Scoring


Please no dogs, no Strollers


Dogs will not be allowed on the course nor in the gates of the track this year.

Runners and walkers will not be allowed to push strollers during the event. Please be considerate to your fellow participants. We love your babies and your pets, but this event is not built for them.

Amgen 5k Run Course

Certified Course
The Amgen 5K course starts on Elmgrove Avenue across from Brown Stadium. Follow Elmgrove Avenue north until Blackstone Boulevard. Take a right onto Blackstone Boulevard. Follow Blackstone Boulevard to Upton Avenue and take a right onto Upton. Follow Upton until Cole Avenue and take a right onto Cole. Follow Cole until Westford Road and take a left onto Westford. Follow Westford to Elmgrove Avenue. Take a left onto Elmgrove. Follow it past the Brown University Stadium then take a right onto Sessions Street, then another quick right into the Stadium, and finish in Olympic style on the Brown University Track.

    • Cardi's Furniture 3k Walk Course

    The Cardi's Furniture 3K course starts on Elmgrove Avenue across from Brown Stadium. Follow Elmgrove north until Westford Road. Take a right onto Westford and follow it until reaching Blackstone.. Take a right onto Blackstone. and follow it to Upton Street. Take a right on to Upton and follow to Cole Ave. Take a right onto Cole and follow it to Sessions Street. Take a left onto Sessions, follow it past the Brown University Stadium, then a quick right into the Stadium, and finish in Olympic style on the Brown University Track.
